BRAILSFORD BENEFICE UPDATE

Some of you my already know that our vicar, the Revd Paul Taylor stepped down in January and after many years of service to the Church, community and the Village School he will be missed.  The future role of a new resident vicar, is at the moment, uncertain, and the PCC (committee which oversees the Church) is working with the diocese to meet the needs of this parish as well as the Churches at Osmaston, Shirley, Yeaveley and Edlaston which comprise our benefice.

All Saints PCC, under the leadership of Church Wardens Ray Jones and Simon Thompson, is committed to ensuring that the Church continues to be at the heart of the village, welcoming to young and old, and provide services appropriate to all ages in the coming months. Of special importance is to maintain and develop the link between ourselves and Brailsford School.

We will be liaising with the diocese to have guest clergy provide a monthly communion service and we hope to offer a monthly family service at which all ages are very welcome so that the pattern of services which Paul established can be continued.  It is important to us that people of all ages are made welcome at the Church and that especially the All-Age family service is appropriate, inclusive and enjoyable for young people.

The pattern of Church services will be posted in the usual slot on the notice board outside the village shop together with any other information and also on the web site:

If there is any way you feel that you can help or support us during the year, please contact one of the wardens directly as the Church office in Saracens yard has now closed.
